Syntropio AI Product Engineer

Build the product behind the intelligence layer

Syntropio is not built in a vacuum. It is built in the middle of real consulting work, real customer questions, real documents, real permissions, real workflows and real consequences.

That is why we need product engineers who do not only write code — but understand what the code is for.

Vervida is building an AI-native advisory and technology company. We help organizations create alignment between strategy, leadership, organization, processes, data, systems and the practical use of AI.

We are also building Syntropio — our living intelligence layer and AI coworker — designed to help consultants and customers structure knowledge, maintain continuity, produce better decision material and improve how organizations learn and work over time.

Now we are looking for a hands-on AI Product Engineer who can help us build, test, improve and configure Syntropio as a real product for real customer environments.

Why this role exists

AI product development is not only about impressive demos.

It is about trust, context, precision, usability, security and continuous improvement.

Syntropio must work with messy documents, real users, inconsistent data, changing permissions, customer-specific knowledge and business-critical questions. That requires engineers who can build, test, debug and improve functionality — while also understanding the consulting craft and customer value behind the product.

What you will work on

As a Syntropio AI Product Engineer, you will work hands-on with product functionality, customer configurations, integrations, retrieval quality, AI workflows and technical implementation support.

You will:

  • develop, prototype, test, debug and improve real Syntropio product functionality;

  • build and improve AI-enabled workflows, prompt packages, model calls, retrieval logic and user-facing behaviour;

  • work with backend logic, APIs, integrations, storage, authentication, logging and data flow;

  • support Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Entra ID, Microsoft Graph, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search and related components where relevant;

  • improve how Syntropio uses documents, metadata, knowledge layers, source filtering and prompt context to produce better answers;

  • help configure Syntropio for customer environments, including knowledge sources, access logic, templates, use cases and test questions;

  • debug issues across code, access, indexing, retrieval, model behaviour, prompt design, document quality and user expectations;

  • support AI quality evaluation, including test questions, answer review, source checking, regression testing and improvement documentation;

  • collaborate with consultants to understand how Syntropio is used in analysis, workshops, documentation, requirements work and customer follow-up;

  • write technical notes, test documentation, release notes, admin guidance and handover material that others can actually use.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a builder with product instinct.

You enjoy making things work in practice. You are curious about how AI applications behave when they meet messy documents, real users, inconsistent data, changing permissions and business-critical questions.

You care about code quality, but you also care about whether the feature creates value. You like technical depth, but you do not disappear into technology for its own sake. You can work with ambiguity, ask good questions and explain technical choices to people who are not developers.

Most importantly, you understand that AI product development is not only about models. It is about the full system around them: data, context, access, prompts, retrieval, testing, usability and trust.

What we believe you need

We believe the right candidate will bring several of the following:

  • hands-on software development capability — you must be able to develop, prototype, test and debug yourself;

  • practical experience building AI-enabled applications, LLM workflows, AI APIs, prompts, retrieval, agents, automation or similar functionality;

  • solid backend or full-stack capability, including APIs, data flow, authentication, storage, integrations and logging;

  • ability to understand user needs, product value and why a feature should be built — not only how;

  • strong technical problem-solving across code, data, access, model behaviour, prompt logic and user input;

  • structured documentation skills, including technical notes, test descriptions, release notes and user/admin guidance;

  • ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to consultants, customers and non-technical colleagues;

  • excellent written and spoken English.

Norwegian is strongly preferred and important for much of our customer work in Norway.

Relevant experience may come from AI application development, product engineering, full-stack development, backend development, platform engineering, enterprise integrations, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, Microsoft Graph, Teams bots, SharePoint, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, RAG, vector search, embeddings, document processing, metadata design, prompt engineering, model orchestration, DevOps or customer-facing implementation work.

This is probably not the right role if you mainly want

  • a pure coordinator, analyst or product owner role without hands-on development;

  • a pure research role with little interest in product delivery and customer environments;

  • a generic software developer role where business context and consulting value do not matter;

  • to work only on polished demos without operational reliability, access control, documentation and real users;

  • to be shielded from ambiguity, changing priorities, customer feedback and early-stage product learning;

  • to build features without caring whether they improve customer value, trust or usability.

Why Vervida

Because tomorrow’s businesses cannot be led well without understanding AI. And AI cannot be used well in business without understanding leadership, organization, processes, data, systems and people.

We are building Vervida for people who understand this.

Syntropio is our solution for getting there faster — but it must work in real environments, with real data, real documents, real permissions and real consequences.

This role is for someone who wants to build that product from inside the work it is meant to transform.
